(WGR) has been retained by Chevron USA to conduct <br /> additional subsurface investigation at Chevron service station#94275 located at 2905 W.Benjamin Holt <br /> Drive,Stockton,California(Figure 1 of Attachment 1). This phase of work includes:drilling of 5 soil <br /> borings for soil sampling; completion of the borings as monitoring wells; purging and groundwater r <br /> sampling foranalysis;surveying the top-of-casing elevations;and producinga potentiometric surfacemap <br /> based on depth-;o-water measurements. The purpose of the work is to better define the vertical and <br /> horizontal extent t f fuel hydrocarbons that may be present in the subsurface,evaluate the water quality <br /> beneath the site an6 to determinz,the direction of groundwater flow and the gradient across the site. As <br /> requested,we have prepared the following work plan for your review. <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is Iocated on the corner of Benjamin Holt Avenue and Plymouth Road in Stockton, <br /> California. it is an active service station,presently being remodeled,that retails regular,unleaded,and <br /> super-unleaded gasoline. The former location of the underground storage tanks was on the south side of <br /> the site near Benjamin Halt Avenue. The former waste oil tank was located on the northeast part of the <br /> site. The new location of the underground storage tanks is on the north-central part of the site(Figure <br /> 2 of Attachment 1). <br /> An active Arco service station is located to the south of the site across Ben Holt Drive.The Arco <br /> station has several monitoring wells and one well located in the side walk along Ben Holt Avenue <br /> bordering the Chevron site.WGR does not have information concerning the Arco site,but has requested <br /> Pertinent data for this investigation from the Sap Joaquin Local Health Department. <br /> 553 Headlands Court • Sausalito,CA 94965 • (415)485-2708 <br /> i <br /> si <br />
