Chevron Products Company 2 Chevron Service Station#9-4275,2905 Benjamin Holt Drive,Stockton,CA July 13,2001 • Air Sparging System The AS system is composed of nine AS wells (GM-1 through GM-9), underground piping, and a 1.5-hp rotary vane compressor. The AS system alternately injects air into wells GM-1 through GM-5 and wells GM-6 through GM-9. During the reporting period, the AS system was 99% operational. The AS system operated at a flow rate of 26.7 standard cubic feet per minute (scfm) and an injection pressure of 9.5 pounds per square inch gauge (psig). Remedial system field data sheets are presented in attachment A. Air sparge operational data, including flow rate and applied pressure data, are presented in Table 1. Dissolved oxygen (DO) concentrations were not measured during the second quarter, 2001 monitoring and sampling event but will be recorded during future monitoring events. Historical DO concentrations are summarized in Table 2. Conclusions j The SVE system remains inactive pending a determination from Chevron to reactivate or modify the existing system. The AS system continues to operate injecting air into the groundwater which provides oxygen for in-situ biodegradation. .
