WORK PLAN FOR ADDITIONAL
MONITORING WELL INSTALLATIONS
CHEVRON SERVICE STATION No. 9-4275 --
2 2905 W_ BENJAMIN HOLT DRIVE
3 STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
JUNE 1990
INTRODUCTION
The following is a work plan for additional assessment work
to be performed at Chevron U.S.A. Inc. (Chevron) Service Station
No. 9-4275, located at 2905 W. Benjamin Holt Drive in Stockton,
California. Specifically, this additional assessment will entail
the drilling of one soil boring on, and one soil boring off the
subject site. Both borings will be completed as groundwater
monitoring wells. The primary focus of this phase of the on-
going assessment is to further define the extent of dissolved
gasoline hydrocarbons below, and ad3acent to the subject site.
BACKGROUND
j
In May of 1990, Chevron retained Groundwater Technology Inc.
to implement additional assessment at this site. The site is
located at the intersection of W. Benjamin Holt Drive and
Plymouth Road in Stockton, California (Figure 1) . Previous work
performed at this site by other consulting firms includes the
removal of the original underground-storage tanks, performance of
a soil-vapor survey, and the installation of five, on-site
groundwater monitoring wells. All of this work was conducted in
1989 . Figure 2 indicates the site configuration, including the
# locations of the former and current underground-storage tanks and
the monitoring well locations. Figure 3 indicates the dissolved
total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) -as-gasoline concentrations as
3
indicated by the last round of water samples collected from the
wells. r
Ci GROUNDWATER
TECHNOLOGY,INC
f
