The AS system includes nine AS wells (GM-1 through GM-9), underground piping, and <br /> a 1 5-hp rotary vane air compressor The AS system injects air into wells GM-1 through <br /> GM-5 and wells GM-6 through GM-9 <br /> During the reporting period, the AS system was 28% operational A non-operational <br /> blower was discovered on April 11, 2002 a rebuilt blower was installed on May 10, <br /> 2002 The rebuilt blower was discovered seized on June 7, 2002, a new blower was <br /> installed on 6/19102 The AS system operated at an average flow rate of 22 1 standard <br /> cubic feet per minute (scfm) and an average injection pressure of 9 5 pounds per square <br /> inch gauge (psig) Remedial system field data sheets are presented in attachment A Air <br /> sparge operational data, including flow rate and applied pressure data, are presented in <br /> Tablel. Dissolved oxygen concentrations for wells MW-1 through MW-9 are <br /> presented in Table 2 <br /> Conclusions <br /> • The SVE system remains inactive pending a determination from Chevron to <br /> reactivate or modify the existing system <br /> • The AS system continues to operate, injecting air into the groundwater, which <br /> provides oxygen for in-situ bioremediation <br /> .
