This letter will summarize the items discussed at
this meeting as well as items within the Brown and Caldwell
letter dated January 29, 1992. Work completion and report dates
for the above site were decided at the meeting.
ARCO and Chevron are to coordinate the measurement of groundwater
levels on the same sampling date, prepare a combined gradient map
of the sites, and submit this information to PHD/EHD and CVRWQCB
by April 15, 1992.
It was agreed that a workplan would be submitted for an
additional monitoring well and negotiations with Cal Trans
initiated for encroachment authorization. This workplan will be
submitted by March 31, 1992.
The addendum to the Draft Final Remedial Plan addressing soil
contamination will be submitted by March 31, 1992 .
The sampling of the nearby downgradient municipal wells located
in Swenson Park was discussed at the January meeting. After the
meeting PHS/EHD staff contacted the Department of Health Services
Office of Drinking Water (DHS) to confirm that these wells were
being tested for TPH and BTEX regularly. This contact resulted
in the enclosed letter from DHS to the city of Stockton, dated
January 30, 1992. ARCO And Chevron should ensure these wells are
tested for TPH and BTEX on a regular basis. Please coordinate
this sampling with the City of Stockton and submit the sampling
plan to PHS/EHD by March 31, 1992.
Also enclosed is the PHS/EHD response to the ARCO letter dated
January 27, 1992 prepared by H.
