The water samples were collected directly from the discharge valve between <br /> the pump and the separator tank. The sample collected March 8, 1989, was analyzed for <br /> trace metals (cadmium, chromium, copper, lead, nickel, and zinc) by EPA Method 601-0, <br /> benzene, ethvlbenzene, toluene, and xylene (BETX) and total petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> (TPH) by EPA Method 801.5, modified (Table 1). The sample collected March 23. 1989. <br /> was analyzed for BETX and TPH by EPA Method 8015, modified (Table 2). Volatile <br /> hydrocarbons for the March 8, 1989, samples were calculated by subtracting the BETX <br /> fraction from the TPH results. <br /> Table 1.
