Specifically you
requested the air sparge rate, the monitoring schedule, and the initial dissolved oxygen (DO)
measurements. In addition, you requested the specifications for the air sparge blower.
The air sparge blower that has been installed at this site is an M-D Pneumatics Model 3202.
This is a 240-volt, 7.5 hp, single-phase blower and will operate at 2,250 rpm. Based on a
field-measured maintenance pressure of approximately 10 psig, the blower will operate at
approximately 30 cfm according to the pressure slip curve provided with this letter.
Brown and Caldwell will be collecting DO readings on a monthly basis after initial startup.
If DO readings do not change significantly over the first several monitoring events this
schedule may be reduced to quarterly. Table 1 contains the initial DO measurements which
were collected on March 31, 1995.
Attachment A of this letter contains the pressure slip curve for the M-D Pneumatics Model
3202 blower, and the maintenance manual for same which includes additional specifications
for this blower.
04/04/95\E:\1885\CORRESP,AIRSPEC.LTR Environmental Engineering And Consulting•Analytical Services
QMS-PS2000 9616 MICRON AVENUE, SUITE 600, SACRAMENTO, CA 95 82 7-262 7
(916) 444-0123 FAX (916) 856-5277
