Box 5811
San Mateo, CA 94402
WORKPLAN, ARCO STATION 2133, STOCKTON, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
We have received a document from Brown. and Caldwell Consulting
Engineers they have entitled "Problem Assessment Report Arco
Station 2133." The report failed to include the required
Workplan. The report, therefore, does not meet the requirements
of the agreement reached in our meeting of 17 April 1987, and
confirmed in our letter of 19 May 1987. Arco. is still required
to submit a Workplan which clearly states how they will go about
defining the full lateral and vertical -extent of contamination
due to the activities at Arco station 2133.
Larry Phillips, Brown and Caldwell geologist, stated in a phone
conversation to Robert Niblack that a Workplan was submitted, and
referred him to a two paragraph section on page 5-4 of the
report. These two items do not constitute an acceptable
Workplan. The Workplan must present a detailed strategy to
define the entire extent of contamination on-site and off-site.
We require you to submit a detailed Workplan by 10 July 1987.
If you have an . question regarding this site, please call Robert
Niblack at ,(9 } 361-5681.
tANTO IA K.
