5-4
I
Groundwater Monitoring. The existing groundwater monitoring
wells should be monitored monthly for water levels. Selected wells
will be sampled and ' analyzed' quarterly= for benzene, toluene, and
xylene (BTX) (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 602) .
Selected wells will be analyzed once for general minerals. The
general mineral analysis will be used to determine the suitability of
the groundwater for domestic and agricultural use. The water
discharged from the recovery system should be sampled quarterly and
tested for EPA 602 and general mineral constituents.
i
Monitoring Well. Four additional groundwater monitoring wells
should be installed. One would be located near the northeast corner
of Benjamin Holt Drive and Plymouth Road, in the vicinity of City of
Stockton Municipal Utility District (City) Well 10 20M2. The purpose
of this monitoring well would be to monitor the - quality of the
shallow groundwater in the vicinity of the City well. The other
three wells should be located north on Benjamin Holt Drive, south on
Plymouth Road, and east on Swenson Park golf course. The approximate
locations of these wells are shown on Figure 5-1. Prior to drilling,
the length and depth of near-by utility trenches and buried lines
should be determined.
i
i
I
i
I
I
I
I
i
I
