No designated levels have yet been established for
total petroleum fuel hydrocarbons. Benzene, ethylbenzene, toluene,
and xylene constituents were detectable in sample WO-1, Lut below
the California Regional Water Quality Control Board designated
levels in soil for the protection of groundwater quality (September
1936) . All other constituents in sample WO-1 were nondetectable.
Based on the history of the site and the results of DC's May 25,
1987, site investigation, we expected that the soil beneath and
around the waste oil tank would have detectable hydrocarbon
product. The hydrocarbon product found in soil sample WO-1 is
'• partly due to the May 24, 1984, product leak"at the site.
SROWP AND CALDWELL
7;;IS SIREE SASIAMf,fi iEI.CA USAI4•j<11G44401;] ..-,µ `..-.- ._.•--- ._. ^
r
