The samples represent the fourth
quarterly sampling a gent for the site.
k Quarterly Sampling
PR-2, BHD-2, E-2, E-4, E-5, E-6, E-7, E-8, E-9, E-10, EA 1,
Prior to sampling wells PR-1, was used to purge
and E-12, a diaphragm pump (supplied by Armour Petroleum Services) P b
approximately three well casing volumes of water from each. Each well was then sampled t
with a Teflon bailer equipped with a bottom-emptying valve. The sample was then drained
directly from the bottom valve into two 40-milliliter glass bottles with Teflon-lined septa. E .
Wells E-3 and BHD-1 were not sampled during this quarter because well E-3 was dry and i
well BHD-1 was damaged.
The samples were stored; on ice from the time of collection through delivery to Eureka
Laboratories. All of the samples wer.., analyzed for benzene, ethylbenzene, toluene, and xylene
(BETX) by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 602. Results are
summarized in Table 1. The complete laboratory reports are enclosed. All groundwater <r
produced during well sampling was removed from the site by Armour Petroleum Services.
Constituents in the groundwater sample from well PR-1 and BHD-2 are below dBETX
etection
limits. The sample from monitoring well PR-2 has detectable levels of xylenes.
constituents are detectable in the samples from wells E-2, E-4, E,-5, E-6, E-7, E-8, E-9, ,
2,.
E-l1, and E-12. In all samples, except PRA, PR
_",-and 131iD-2, the benzene concentration i
exceeds DHS MCLS. Y.
— a
7275STREEI WHAMENTr-g1LiFORNIR 959144092.1916Y I4P0121
