Listed chronologically below is a summary
of the activities related to the discharge of groundwater at the site from August 16 through
September 15, 1991. Table 1 presents a summary of the detected constituents for the extraction
system.
8121/91 Collected effluent water sample for laboratory analysis of total petroleum hydrocarbons
(T PH) send benzene, ethylbenzene, toluene, and xylenes(BM) and metals.
9111/91 Sampled extraction system for BEI'X and iPH.
The average daily flow during this reporting period(31 days)was approximately 10.1 gallons per
i.ainute. The total flow for this period was 451,000 gallons.
The following calculations show average paunds per day of each constituent discharged to the
sanitary sewer.
I
Q - Average flow rate,gpm
C - Concentration,pg/I
W = Average amount of chemical discharged, lbs/day
W = Q x I,440 x 8.34 x CI(1,000,000,000) =0.000123 C for Q= 10.1 gpm
