ARCO Statiou 2133,
Stockton. California
Dear Mr. Carmel:
This letter presents the current status of the groundwater extraction.system and the results of the
groundwater discharge sampling at ARCO Products Company(ARCO)Station 2133.located at
2908 Benjamin Holt Drivc in Stockton. California, Listed chronologically below is a summary
Of the activities related to the discharge of groundwater at the site from July 16 through August
15. 1991. Table 1 presents a summary of the detected constituents for the extraction system.
6126191 Collected effluent water sample far laboratory analysis of total petroleum hydrocarbons
(TPH)and benzene. ethylbenzcne, toluene, and xylenes (131"3TX) and metals.
7/10191 Sampl_d extraction system for BETX and TPH.
7/24191 Sampled extraction system for BETX and TPH and metals.
517/91 Sampled extraction system for BhTX and TPH.
The average daily flow during thi, reporting period(31 days)was approximately 10.1 gallons per
minute. The total flow:for this period was 451,000 gallons.
The following calculations show average pounds per day of each constituent discharged to the
sanitary sewer.
Q — Average flow rate, gpm
C — Concentration, ug/1
W = Average amount of chemical discharged, lbs/day
W — Q x 1.440 x13.34 x C/{1,000.000.000}- 0.000123 C for Q= 10.1 gpm
