Y"
Vis• x, zg 4:A7 WO
2' 'wwz'.'oy. 4
Mr. Chuck Carmel
November 18, 1991
Page 3
Analytica!results of current groundwater samples a:,)ng with previous results are summarized in
Table 3 (Exhibit E). The complete laboratory report for the July 1991 sampling :s presented in -
Exhibit F. Figure 2 shows BM and TPH-G cottcentrations for each well sampled.
Discussion
The general groundwater flow direction has not changed at this site since the last groundwater
monitoring (April 1991). Water-level elevations have decreased signcantly with the most
if
notable decreases occurring in wells near the groundwater extraction well.
Monitoring wells PR-1,PR-2,or BHD-2 did not contain detectable concentrations of BE'I'X and
TPH-G: The benzene concentration increased in wells E-2, E-8,E-10,E-11, E-12,and BHD-1.
The ethylbenzene concentration has increased in wells E-2, E-8, E-10, ani E-11 and has
drCrew,PA in well BHD-1. The toluene concentration has increased or remained the same in wells
E-2,;r-R,E-10,E-11,BHD-1,and BHD-2. The xylenes concentration has increased or remained
the vane in wells E-2, E-8, E-10, E-I1, E-12, and BHD-1. Tine TPH-G concentration has
increased in wells E-2, E-10, E-11, E-12, and BHD-1, and has decreased in well E-8.
Fluctuations in the TPH-G and BEr'X levels may be caused by the groundwater extraction
system, but several more quarters of sampling are needed to identify any specific trends.
The purge water generated during this sampling event was transported off site immediately after
f the record of transportation is included in this report
pacging by Armour Petroleum. A copy o
as Exhibit G.
The current groundwater rnonitoring plan will continue through 1991.
