There was no hazardous waste label observed on the pan. <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> -name and address of generator <br /> -hazardous properties <br /> -physical state <br /> -composition(contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br /> information. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 607 CCR 66266.81(b) Damaged lead acid batteries not properly managed and labeled. <br /> A smashed lead acid battery was observed in front of the side shop with the contents leaking out. <br /> A damaged battery shall be managed so as to minimize the release of acid and lead and to protect the handlers <br /> and the environment, including at a minimum: <br /> 1.stored and transported in a nonreactive,structurally secure, closed container capable of preventing the <br /> release of acid and lead; <br /> 2.a container holding one or more damaged batteries shall be labeled with the date that the first battery in the <br /> container was placed there, i.e.,the initial date of accumulation; <br /> 3.all container labels shall be written in ink, paint or other weather-resistant material so that the date is legible <br /> and conspicuous <br /> 4. a container holding one or more damaged batteries shall be packed for transportation in a manner that <br /> prevents the container from tipping, spilling or breaking during the transporting. <br /> Immediately manage, store, and label this damaged lead-acid battery in accordance with Title 22 regulations. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br /> Bills of lading for the recycling of used oil filters for the last three years were not found on site. A copy of each bill of <br /> lading must be kept on site for at least three years. Immediately locate a copy of all bills of lading for used oil filters <br /> for the last three years, maintain them on site,and submit copies to the EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by February 6, 2019. <br /> Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate ($152).
