Steve Nicolaou
Attorney At Law
628 Central Avenue
Tracy, California 95376
i
April 10, 1999
Michael Huggins
PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION
302 E. Weber Avenue, 3rd Floor
Stockton, California 95202
Re: Jack' s Place
7939 W. 11th Street
Tracy, California
Dear Mr. Huggins :
The purpose of this letter is to confirm the telephone
conversation we had on Thursday, April 8, 1999, with respect to
the "Notice to Abate" which was sent by your office to my
client, Jack Mah, dated March 29, 1999 .
As we discussed, after reviewing this matter with Mr. Mah,
he will monitor the status of the septic tank system currently
servicing his place of business on a daily basis . In the event
the system begins to show any signs of overflowing, Mr. Mah
will have a local septic pump service on standby to call and
have it come out and pump the septic tank. I have also advised
Mr. Mah to pay particularly close attention to the system
during and after any significant rain storm that may come
through the area which may cause run-off leading to the septic
tank becoming full .
This will also confirm the fact that by confirming the
contents of this arrangement in letter form to you, my client
will have been considered as having appropriately addressed the
issues raised in the March 29th "Notice to Abate" , subject, of
course, to the requirement that there be no repeat of the
incident which led to the issuance of that notice in the first
place.
Thank you for your courtesy and coope-ation in this
matter. Should you have any further questions or comments,
please do not hesitate to give me a call .
Very truly yours,

STEVE NICOLAOU
SN/ggr
cc : Jack Mari
Tel.
