BROWN AND <br /> �1" h <br /> t �f F <br /> 11 f E� ` 1� } l <br /> CALDWELL � f � "' ' <br /> March 21, 1996 <br /> Mr. Kyle Christie <br /> ARCO Products Company <br /> Post Office Box 612530 <br /> San Jose, California 95161 017-3316-0111 <br /> Subject Status of Groundwater Extraction System, ARCO Facility 2133, <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Christie <br /> This letter presents the current status of the groundwater extraction system and the results of the <br /> • monthly groundwater discharge sampling event for all constituents listed in the permit for <br /> ARCO Products Company (ARCO) Facility 2133, located at 2908 Benjamin Holt Drive in <br /> Stockton, California Listed below is a summary of activities and discharge of groundwater at <br /> the site from December 15, 1996 through January 29, 1996 Table 1 presents a summary of the <br /> laboratory analysis in this reporting period (The complete laboratory report for this reporting <br /> period is included in Attachment A) <br /> 1129196 Collected effluent water sample for laboratory analysis of total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons, benzene, ethylbenzene, toluene, and xylenes (EPA Methods <br /> 5030/8015 Modified/8020 and 418 1) The sample was also analyzed for total <br /> lead <br /> The total volume of water discharged during the period was 231,872 gallons The average flow <br /> rate during this period (45 days) was approximately 3 6 gallons per minute The average daily <br /> flow was 5,152 gallons Operation of the groundwater extraction system has been discontinued <br /> Brown and Caldwell will notify the City if groundwater extraction will resume This report will <br /> be the last status report until the system is restarted (if it is restarted) <br /> Table 2 presents the average pounds per day of each constituent discharged to the sanitary sewer <br /> The quantity of hydrocarbons being discharged is in compliance with the City of Stockton <br /> • This report was prepared in accordance with the standards of the environmental consulting industry at the time it was <br /> prepared It should not be relied upon by parties other than those for whom it was prepared and then only to the <br /> extent of the scope of work which was authorized This report does not guarantee that no additional environmental <br /> contamination beyond that described in this report exists at the site <br /> Environmental Engineering And Consulting Analytical Seances 3316\REPORTSSTATIAN6 DOC <br /> 9616 MICRON AVENUE SUITE 600, SACRAMENTO CA 95827 2627 <br /> (916) 444 0123 Fix (916) 856 5277 <br />
