Products Company (ARCO) Station 2133, Stockton This addendum addresses soil remediation <br /> at the site A draft FRP addressing groundwater was prepared by Brown and Caldwell <br /> Consultants (BCC) and submitted to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division <br /> (County) on July 11, 1991 <br /> EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br /> ARCO is remediating gasoline-contaminated groundwater and is proposing to remediate gasoline- <br /> contaminated soil at ARCO Station 2133, located at 2908 West Benjamin Holt Drive, Stockton <br /> California A groundwater extraction system is in place and has been operating at this site since <br /> June 1991 The extracted groundwater is discharged to the sanitary sewer under a City of <br /> Stockton Wastewater Discharge Permit <br /> ARCO has completed a series of soil vapor extraction pilot tests at the site The results of the <br /> pilot testing indicate that/soil vapor extraction is a feasible soil remediation alternative /This <br /> alternative would involve extracting vapors from wells and treating the vapors before emitting <br /> to the atmosphere Several types of thermal treatment were evaluated and�catalytic oxidation was <br /> determined to be the most feasible process and is proposed for this site The byproducts of this <br /> `treatment process are water vapor and carbon dioxide gas This FRP/includes a conceptual <br /> design of the vapor extraction and treatment system and the final design phase of the treatment <br />. system will be initiated upon approval of this plan Permits for construction and operation of the <br /> system will be pursued from the appropriate agencies including the San Joaquin County Unified <br /> Air Pollution Control District (APCD), and City of Stockton Building Department <br /> 6747gRCiPORTS�6747-04 LTR <br />
