(Artesian)at the subject site <br /> (Figures 1 and 2). A report summarizing a brief history of the site, work done during <br /> this period and planned site activities is included as Appendix A. <br /> GROUNDWATER SAMPLING <br /> 7 <br /> � On September 25, 1991, Artesian staff measured depth to water and purged monitor 1 <br /> �. wells MW-I through MW-6. All groundwater samples were collected according to ' <br /> the Artesian standard operating procedures for groundwater sampling included in <br /> Appendix B; field sampling and monitoring forms are included as Appendix C. <br /> i <br /> All purged water was temporarily stored in three 55-gallon containers pending <br /> analytical results. The groundwater samples were shipped under chain-of-custody to <br /> state-certified Chromalab, Inc. of San Ramon, California. <br /> GROUNDWATER FLOW <br /> I <br /> Figure 2 shows the potentiometric surface of shallow groundwater based on depth-to- 3 <br /> water measurements taken on September 25, 1991. The estimated groundwater <br /> gradient was 0.08 percent. Groundwater-elevation data are presented in Table 1. The <br /> estimated groundwater flow direction at the site is toward the east-northeast. <br /> —. ANALYTIC RESULTS <br /> Groundwater samples from Monitor wells MW-1 through MW-6 were analyzed for <br /> total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline(TPH-g) by EPA Method 8015 and <br /> benzene, toluene,ethylbenzene and total xylenes(BTEX)by Modified EPA Method <br /> 8020. <br /> In"•Iri.•litiIli �nrlr ?'15H•11i111 .
