f
Page !
1.0 INTRODUCTION
This report presents the results of the subsurface investigation performed by Artesian
Environmental Consultants,Inc. (Artesian)at Exxon Service Statirii 7-3330 at 3128 West
Benjamin Holt Drive in Stockton,California(Figures I and 2). The station is presently in?. fve.
1.1 SCOPE OF WORK
1. Prepare Work Plan,Safety Plan, obtain necessary permits,and locate underground
' utilities and obstacles;
2. Drill and sample seven soil borings on-site;
3. Analyze selected soil samples frorn all borings for total petroleum hydrocarbons as
gasoline(TPH-g)by modified Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) Method 8015 and
benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene and xylenes(BTEX)by EPA Method 8020. Analyze
satrapies collected near the waste oil tank for Total Oil and Grease(TOG)by Standard
Method 5520 E and F;
4. Complete borings B-1 through B-3 as 4-inch diameter groundwater monitor wells, MW-4
through MW-6,respectively;
5. Collect hydropunch groundwater samples from borings 13-4 through B-7. Develop
the three new monitor wells MW-4 through MW-6. Purge and sample the groundwater in
all wells on-site(MW-1 through MW-6).
6. Analyze groundwater samples for TPH-g by EPA Method 8015 and BTEX by EPA
Method 602. Analyze the groundwater sample collected at boring B-7 near the waste oil
tank for TOG by Standard Method 5520 B and F;
7. Survey the top of casing elevations of the new and existing monitor wells with respect to
mean sea level(msl). Determine groundwater elevations in each of the six monitor wells.
Produce a potentiometric surface map of shallow groundwater; and
`" 8. Review the field and laboratory data and prepare a report summarizing the investigation.
