1 <br /> Working To Restore Nature <br /> 1 <br /> 3164 Cold Camp Drive <br /> Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 <br /> Phone (916) 852-6690 <br /> Fax (916) 852-6688 <br /> I <br /> December 28, 1992 <br /> Ms Marla Guensler <br /> i Exxon Company, U S A <br /> P O Box 4032 <br /> Concord, California 94524-2032 <br /> Subject Status Report, Fourth Quarter 1992, Former Exxon Service Station No 7- <br /> 3330, 3128 West Benjamin Holt Drive, Stockton, California <br /> Ms Guensler <br /> This report summarizes the work conducted during the fourth quarter 1992 by RESNA <br /> Industries (RESNA) at the request of Exxon Company, U S A at the subject site shown on <br /> the Site Vicinity Map, Plate 1) The work consisted of ground-water monitoring which was <br /> conducted on November 16, 1992 Work included measuring depths to ground water, <br /> subjectively analyzing ground water in monitoring wells MW-3 through MW-6, purging and <br /> sampling ground water from the monitoring wells, analyzing the groundwater samples for <br /> hydrocarbons, and evaluating the ground-water flow direction and gradient at the site The <br /> locations of the monitoring wells and other selected site features are shown on the <br /> Generalized Site Pian (Plate 2) <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> It is our understanding from a report prepared by Artesian Environmental Consultants <br /> (Artesian) of San Rafael, California, that Exxon operated a service station at the site from <br /> 1968 to 2991 (Artesian, July 27, 1992) In September 1991, as part of Exxon's returning the <br /> lease to the owner, the station was demolished In 1991, ten soil borings were drilled and <br /> ground-water monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-6 were installed in six of the borings <br /> In October 1991, three single-walled steel underground gasoline-storage tanks were removed <br /> from the northeast corner of the site and one waste-oil tank was removed from the southern <br /> Portion of the site We understand the product piping was also removed at that time <br /> According to Artesian, monitoring wells MW-1 and MW-2 were abandoned on November <br /> 7, 1991 In April and June 1992, approximately 1,300 cubic yards of soil containing <br /> 32020-1 <br /> 12D9mgue <br />
