1 <br /> ARTESIAN ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANTS <br />' Date July 27, 1992 <br /> Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring <br />' Sampled June 27, 1992 1g <br /> Fortner Exxon Service Station 7-3330 <br /> 3128 West Benjamin Holt Drive ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br /> Stockton, California PERMIT/40virl" <br />' Project No 014-001-01 <br /> Prepared for <br />' Ms Marla D Guensler <br /> Environmental Engineer <br /> Real Estate and Engineering <br /> Exxon Company, U S A <br /> Post Office Box 4032 <br /> Concord, CA 94524-2032 <br /> This report presents the results of the quarterly groundwater monitoring well sampling, <br /> performed on June 27, 1992 by Artesian Environmental Consultants, Inc (Artesian) at <br /> the subject site (Figures 1 and 2) A brief history of the site, and work done has been <br />' included in Appendix A <br /> GROUNDWATER SAMPLING <br /> On June 27, 1992, Artesian staff measured depth to water, purged and sampled four <br /> groundwater monitoring wells designated MW-3, MW-4, MW-5, and MW-6 All <br /> groundwater samples were collected according to the Artesian standard operating <br /> procedures (SOP) for groundwater sampling included in Appendix A The field sampling <br /> forms are included as Appendix B <br /> All purged watei was temporarily stored in thiee DOT 17-H, 55-gallon containers <br /> pending analytical results The groundwater samples were shipped under chain-of- <br /> custody <br /> hain-ofcustody to state-certified Pace Incorporated of Novato, California <br /> GROUNDWATER FLOW <br /> Figures 2 and 3 show the potentiometric surface of shallow groundwater based on depth- <br /> to-water measurements taken on June 27, 1992 The estimated groundwater gradient was <br /> 0 0013 vertical feet per horizontal foot for the June sampling event Groundwater- <br /> elevation data are presented in Table 1 The estimated groundwater flow direction at the <br /> site in June was toward the northeast <br /> ANALYTIC RESULTS <br /> Groundwater samples from monitor wells MW-3 through MW-6 from the June 27, 1992 <br /> event were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g) by modified <br /> EPA Method 8015 and benzene, toluene,ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX) by EPA <br /> 3175 Kerner Boulevard, Suite E • San Rafael, CA 94901 • (415)257-4801 • FAX (415)257-4805 <br />
