' Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report Exxon Station 7-3330 <br />' QUARTERLY SUMMARY REPORT <br /> Exxon Service Station 7-3330 <br /> 3128 West Benjamin Holt Drive <br />' Stockton, California <br /> July, 1992 <br /> 1 BRIEF HISTORY <br /> The project site is located in northwest Stockton, California at the southeast corner of <br /> 1 Grigsby Place and West Benjamin Holt Drive, approximately 200 feet west of Interstate <br /> 5 The site is surrounded by a mixture of commercial and residential properties The site <br /> is bounded by a shopping center and a Shell gasoline station to the north, a church and <br /> iesidential area to the west, a water tower, Seven-Eleven parking lot and store and <br /> residential area to the south and Interstate Highway 5 to the east <br /> The site was an active Exxon Retail Service Station from 1968 to 1991 Three single- <br /> walled steel underground storage tanks previously containing gasoline and having a <br /> capacity of 6,000 gallons extra unleaded gasoline, 8,000 gallons regular leaded gasoline <br /> and 10,000 unleaded gallons were located in the northeast coiner of the site A 1,000 <br />' gallon waste oil tank was located in the southern portion of the site, south of the station <br /> house/garage <br /> As a part of the process of returning the lease to the owner, the service station building <br /> was demolished September 30, 1991 Ten soil borings were drilled in 1991 Of these, <br /> six were converted into monitoring wells These wells were installed and sampled <br /> according to the regulatory guidelines and protocol The underground fuel storage tanks, <br /> the waste oil tank, the pumps and the product pipelines were removed October 9, 1991 <br /> In preparation for the soil over excavation activities, two monitor wells, MW-1 and MW- <br /> 2, wei e abandoned on November 7, 1991 In April and June, 1992, soil remediation <br /> activities on site included the excavation and removal of approximately 1,300 cubic yards <br /> of gasoline contaminated soil from the property The material was transported to licensed <br /> Class II and Class III facilities <br /> 1 PLANNED SITE ACTIVITIES <br /> • Continuation of quarterly groundwater sampling and analysis <br /> • Pieparation of a proposal to address groundwatei issues <br /> 3175 Kerner Boulevard Suite E • San Rafael CA 94901 • (415) 257 4801 • FAX (415)257 4805 <br />
