(AGE) on your behalf for the above-
referenced site. In the addendum, AGE proposes to advance two injection test borings at
locations illustrated on Figure 1 to perform a preliminary aquifer volurne test. AGE believes
the lithology in this southern portion of the site is similar to the lithology in the proposed
treatment area, and the locations are outside of the petroleum hydrocarbon contaminant
area up-gradient of the former underground storage tank site.
The EHD has reviewed the boring logs for soil borings B16 and MW-2 and believes the two
proposed borings should be relocated closer to monitoring well MW-2 since the lithology for
this borehole more closely resembles the lithology in the proposed treatment area as
compared to the lithology of soil boring B16. Continuously core the two proposed borings to
compare and confirm similar lithologies.
The EHD approves the In-situ Chemical Oxidation Pilot Test Work Plan Addendum with
these revisions. Please submit a boring permit application and permit/inspection fee of $434
to the EHD and complete the fieldwork by July 30, 2010. Notify the EHD of pending
fieldwork at least a week prior to the scheduled event.
If you have any questions concerning this letter, please contact Vicki McCartney at (209)
468-9852, or by email at vmccartney@sjcehd.com.
Sincerely,
i
Victoria L. McCartney, REHS Nuel C., Henderson, Jr., PG
Senior Registered Environmental Health Specialist Engineering Geologist
