Vicki McCartney [EH]
From: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Sent: Friday, September 03, 2010 10:09 AM
To: 'bmiliman@advgeoenv.com'
Subject: RE: Soil vapor Intrusion Sampling - Tracy Marine Sales (2353 Toste)and Weldon Church (104
Beverly)
Good morning, Brian.
Thank you for responding to my question concerning the installation of two vapor points near the former
underground storage tank (UST) location.
After discussing this matter with Nuel Henderson, Nuel and I agree that AGE can install five vapor points using a
hand auger for collection of soil gas samples near the home, and direct push technology for the collection of two
soil gas samples near the former UST.
You, too, have a wonderful Labor Day weekend.
Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street
Stockton, California 95202
Phone: (209)468-9852
Fax: (209)468-3433
Email: i,mccartne aisjcehd.com
From: Brian Millman [mailto:bmillman@advgeoenv.com]
Sent: Friday, September 03, 2010 9:16 AM
To: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Subject: RE: Soil vapor Intrusion Sampling -Tracy Marine Sales (2353 Toste) and Weldon Church (104
Beverly)
Good morning Vicki, I interpreted the work plan addendum (24 October 2008) and the approval letter (23
December 2008) for 104 West Beverly Place to mean that the 5 relocated borings would have soil vapor
points installed for sampling using a hand auger. And that the two borings north and west of the former
UST would be drilled and sampled the originally proposed way. After further review of the work plan
addendum and approval letter I think it can interpreted either way. However, I don't see a reason to hand
auger or install vapor points in the proposed locations north and west of the former UST area; there are
no utilities in this area. Would you prefer soil vapor points in these locations for consistency?
I have no problems with coordinating our schedules and trying to make this all fit. I will provide you with
contact information next week for both jobs (Tracy Marine Sales and Weldon Church).
Have a great holiday weekend!
Sincerely,
Brian W. Millman
California Professional Geologist#8574
9/3/2010
