The SHSP will cover: <br /> • Health and safety officer and key personnel,and personnel requirements and responsibilities. <br /> • Field activities, overall work practices and standard operating procedures (SOP). <br /> • On-site chemicals and potential hazardous substances as well as physical hazards. <br /> • Risk analysis for existing site conditions, and description of personal protective equipment <br /> to be used by personnel. <br /> • Site control measures,including work zones and security measures,and entry procedures for <br /> confined spaces. <br /> • Exposure monitoring plan with monitoring methods, emergency response plan addressing <br /> hazardous material/waste releases, and medical surveillance requirements. <br /> All field personnel will be trained in hazardous materials communication and will have completed <br /> a 40-hour Health and Safety Course as specified in OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and <br /> Emergency Response Standard [29 CFR 1910.120(e)], and 8-hour annual refresher courses as <br /> necessary.Additional information regarding site information will be provided to parties upon request <br /> where and when available. <br /> Prior to mobilization, each soil boring location will be clearly marked and a utility clearance <br /> obtained through Underground Service Alert.San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (SJCEHD) soil boring permit(s) will be obtained and present on-site during drilling activities. <br /> 2.2. SOIL SAMPLE AND SOIL-VAPOR COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS <br /> AGE proposes to advance soil probe borings using direct push technology;four shallow soil borings <br /> and eleven separate soil-vapor borings.Nine of the soil-vapor borings will be advanced around the <br /> building on the site,and two soil-vapor borings are proposed adjacent to the site of the former UST. <br /> Proposed soil boring locations are depicted in Figure 3. <br /> Soil sample borings will be advanced to and sampled at three feet below surface grade (bsg); <br /> soil-vapor sample borings will be advanced to and sampled at four to five feet bsg.
