(AGE) prepared the
enclosed Soil Vapor Survey Work Plan Addendum - October 2008 for 104 West Beverly Place,
Tracy, California. The location of the site and surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1; site
structures and monitoring well locations are illustrated on Figure 2. This addendum proposes to
modify the scope of work presented in the AGE-prepared Soil Vapor Survey Work Plan, dated 25
April 2007, and Soil Vapor Survey Work Plan -Addendum, dated 09 July 2007.
By letter dated 25 July 2007, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD)
approved the above referenced AGE-prepared Soil Vapor Survey Work Plan-Addendum. The scope
of work included advancement of ten soil borings for collection and analysis of soil and soil-vapor
samples; the objective of the proposed scope was to determine the lateral extent of petroleum
hydrocarbon-impacted soil present beneath the site,and to assess the threat of vapor intrusion to the
house located near the source area.
On 07 April 2008,AGE advanced two soil borings(B25 and B26; shown on Figure 2)as part of the
proposed scope of work. During soil boring activities, it was determined that several of the borings
were proposed in areas located in close proximity to underground utilities.Alternative advancement
procedures are required to complete the scope of work.
AGE proposes to make the following modifications to the original work plans:
• Relocation of soil vapor borings, located east and south of the site residence, to locations
adjacent to the residence (Figure 2);
• Advancement of proposed soil vapor borings utilizing a hand auger due to close proximity
of the residence and underground utilities;
