Skelton <br /> 1958 Yosemite Road 25969 South Corral Hollow Road <br /> Berkeley, California 94707 Tracy, California 95376-9108 <br /> Subject: Weldon Church Property <br /> 104 West Beverly Place <br /> Tracy, California 95376 <br /> Dear Mr. Church: <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has received and reviewed <br /> Indoor Air Investigation Work Plan (work plan), dated 30 December 2011, submitted by your <br /> consulting firm, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) on your behalf for the above- <br /> referenced site. By letter dated 22 November 2011, the EHD had directed the submittal of a <br /> work plan for the collection of an indoor air sample along with a crawl space sample and <br /> ambient air sample/s. <br /> In the work plan, AGE proposes to contact the resident/s of 104 West Beverly Place to explain <br /> the sampling procedure and schedule the indoor air sampling. At that time the resident/s will <br /> be given a list of household products that should be removed from the home or discouraged to <br /> be used 24 to 48 hours prior to the indoor air sampling event. The list includes: household <br /> cleaners, adhesives/glues, adhesive removers such as fingernail polish remover, lubricants, <br /> bonders, aerosol sprays, automotive parts cleaners, paint and paint strippers, jewelry polish, <br /> water repellents, and dry-cleaned material. <br /> Prior to collecting indoor air samples, AGE proposes to inspect each room inside the <br /> residence and inventory commercial and household products using the Building Screening <br /> Form from Appendix M of the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) California <br /> Environmental Protection Agency (Cal EPA) Guidance for the Evaluation and Mitigation of <br /> Subsurface Vapor Intrusion to Indoor Air (Vapor Intrusion Guidance), dated October 2011. <br /> AGE proposes to use an organic vapor meter equipped with a photo-ionization detector (PID) <br /> to identify sources of indoor contamination and remove such contaminant sources or properly <br /> seal such items and re-monitor using the PID. AGE also proposes to complete the Building <br /> Survey Form from Appendix L of the DTSC Cal EPA Guidance for the Evaluation and <br /> Mitigation of Subsurface Vapor Intrusion to Indoor Air (Vapor Intrusion Guidance), dated <br /> October 2011. <br /> AGE proposes to collect two indoor air samples, one from the main living area and one from <br /> the main bedroom-, three crawl space samples, one from the northeast corner, one from the <br />
