Ground Water Monitoring,Report - First Quarter 20000' WELDON CHURCH PROPERTY' I104 West Beverly Place Tracy; California 1:0. - INTRODUCTION At the request of Mr:Weldon Church,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has..prepared this .' quarterly groundwater monitoring report for the site at 104 West Beverly Place, Tracy, California (the site).-The-scope of work included monitoring and sampling seven welI"s, obtaining laboratory ' analyses of the samples and preparation of this report. The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1. . Locations of structures,borings and monitoring wells related to the site are illustrated on Figure 2. Site history and findings from previous investigations and previous monitoring events at the-site are I detailed in the Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report - September 1996 (PIER); dated 10 September.1996, prepared by'AGE. 2.0. BACKGROUND I . The site is located in a residential area of central Tracy,.California,_in San Joaquin County(Figure 1). One house and a detached garage/storage area are currently located on the property.-An apartment I • complex is located,inunediately west of the former UST area;residences are located to the south and east of the site. One small capacity(550-gallon)UST was installedat the site in the early 1980s.'The tank was used to fuel vehicles associated with Church Refrigeration, a company owned and operated' ' by Mr. Weldon Church. 2.1'. UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL The UST system was removed in 1988. Ground water was encountered in the tank excavation during. removal. Subsequently, one soil-and one grab.water sample were.collected from the tank excavation in August 1988. IBoth samples were analyzed for total"petroleum hydrocarbons' quantified as gasoline (TPH-g), stoddard solvents,paint thinner,,diesel, kerosene, motor oil (TPH-ss,.TPH- thinner, TPH-d; TPH-k and TPH-mo)and volatile aromatics(benzene,toluene and total xylene). TPH-g,toluene and xylenes ' were detected in the soil sample.at concentrations of 560 milligrams per kilogram(mg/kg), 21 mg/kg and 79-mg/kg, respectively. TPH-g,benzene, toluene and xylenes were detected in the water sample at concentrations of 117,000 micrograms per'liter(tcg/1), 10,100-µg/1, 11,300 ,ug/1 and 9,330',ug/l; ' respectively.
