Environmental Health Department
SANJOAQUIN
—COUNTY—
Complaint Record Daily Time and Activity Summary from 5/18/2016 to
5/18/2017 for C00043456 located at
HARNEYLN
Recorded by
Activity Date
05/12/2017 Received call from EHD staff regarding abandoned Ag chemical containers. When PE 2548 LIMA
150 min I arrived at scene there were 14 30ozplastic bottles spread around and 10 2.5 SC 004
gallon containers that were crushed and tied together. I took a picture, called
Garrett Backus to ask what we are to do with agricultural chemical containers. He
told me to start with the Ag commissioner office and if that didn't work to then call
DTSC. I called the Ag Commissioner office and spoke with Barbara Huecksteadt. I
explained the containers and she said I could take them to her and she would
store them until the next disposal. I met with Barbara at the Ag Center and she
stated she could take the 2.5 gallon containers but not the 30 oz. containers
because there was too much residue. The bottles had holes drilled but not triple
rinsed. I then called DTSC and spoke with Nancy McGee. I explained the
containers and the warning on the label. Nancy asked that I text her the label. I
sent her a text picture of the container. She stated the State would pick them up. I
received a call from Laura of PARC Specialty and we made an appointment for
5/18/2017 at gam.
05/18/2017 Met with PARC Specialty to pick up bottles with herbicide residue. Manifest, DTSC PE 2548 LIMA
120 min report and work order to Yvonne Moreno. Complete complaint and forward to SC 004
Garrett Backus for approval.
