Must be approved in advance by Company Safety Officer. <br /> AIR QUALITY MONITORING <br /> Instrument Monitoring Intervals <br /> 1XI PID As needed <br /> FID <br /> LEL Meter <br /> Colorimetric tubes see below <br /> Substance Concentration Ranges Pumn Strokes <br /> DECONTAMINATION PROCEDURES <br /> Personnel and equipment shall be decontaminated as follows: [X]Wash and rinse all exposed skin and equipment. <br /> [ ]Other: <br /> Disposable PPE(gloves,Tyvek coveralls,spent respirator cartridges,etc.must be disposed of with other waste materials at site). <br /> HEAT STRESS MONITORING <br /> The anticipated air temperature is 70 degrees F. <br /> Adjusted air temperature[Twi=T.; (F°)+(13 x%Sunshine)]is not expected to exceed 81 degrees F. <br /> All workers are trained to recognize and treat heat stress symptoms. The site safety officer will monitor workers showing signs of heat <br /> stress and provide assistance per attached OSHA Quick Card. No person shall work in temperatures exceeding 100 degrees F without <br /> specific approval of a Safety Committee representative. <br /> [X] Drinking water is available at: Each person supplies their own water <br /> EMERGENCY PROCEDURES <br /> Injury: The Site Safety Officer and On-site Project Manager should evaluate the injury and contact an ambulance and/or the <br /> designated medical facility as needed. Conduct First Aid and CPR if necessary and only if qualified,but not in lieu of getting <br /> professional medical attention. <br /> See Incident Reporting and Workers Compensation instructions below. <br /> Fire/Explosion: All personnel must immediately move to a safe location away from threat of fire and/or explosion. Sound alarm if <br /> available and safely accessible. Call fire department. <br /> Emergency escape route and meeting place:To he determined at the time of drilling. <br /> Hitting a utility line: <br /> I. Stop operations and clear people from the area (Do not touch equipment if an electrical line has been hit) <br /> 2. If possible tum off the affected utility <br /> 3. Inform the facility manager <br /> 4. Call 911 for natural gas,electrical,or product lines(Otherwise call affected utility) <br /> 5. Call the project manager,your supervisor and CRA Safety Officer <br /> 6. Notify the client <br /> 7. Document incident circumstances in daily field report.Take photographs(if safe to do so). Fill out incident report whir 24 hours. <br /> Chemical Spills <br /> 1. Evacuate surrounding personnel and keep others out. The extent of the evacuation will depend upon the vapor pressure and <br /> hazards of the chemical spilled; <br /> 2. Identify the spilled material and estimate quantity if possible, <br /> 3. Contain the spill if safe to do so, <br /> 4. Call 911 if there is threat to human health <br /> 5. Call project manager <br /> 6. Notify the client - <br /> 7. Document the circumstances of the incident in your daily field report,take photographs(if safe to do so)and fill out an incident <br /> report who 24 hours <br />
