1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Tetra Tech EM Inc. (TtEMI)was contracted by Ms. Dorothy Sandberg(p,roperty owner)to conduct a <br /> phase 11 subsurface soil investigation located at 4950 Bonham Street, Linden, California. Two petroleum <br /> E <br /> underground storage tanks were removed from the property on May, 1, 1998. Based on observations <br /> during the tank removal activities by the Public Health Services Environmental Health Division(PHS- <br />; !I <br /> EHD)- San Joaquin County and laboratory analytical results from soil samples collected in the <br /> !1 c <br /> excavation, the PHS-EHD requested further subsurface soil investigation.to determine the horizontal and <br /> vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbon impact. , <br /> K <br /> This site assessment report resents and summarizes the results of the sub'surfacc investigation p P g on which <br /> took place on November 12, 1998. Personnel present during the inivestigastion included: Dr. Jill Slater <br /> General Atomics); Regina M. Boyle Law Office of Regina M. Boyle); Margaret La orio PHS-EHD <br /> r <br /> and Greg Alyanakian (TtEMI). A copy of the laboratory analytical' results is provided in Appendix A, <br /> copies of the boringlogs and field notes are provided in Appendix x B, and copies of the approved boring <br /> + permit application and work plan are provided in Appendix C. <br /> F <br /> 2.0 SITE DESCRIPTIONjf <br /> This section describes the site location and description, site history and contaminants, and site geology. <br /> 2.1 Site Location and Description <br /> !i <br /> The site is located at 4950 Bonham Street, Linden, California(Figure 1). The site lies within San <br /> i� <br /> Joaquin County and,therefore, falls under the jurisdiction of the PHS-EHD - San Joaquin County.
