SOIL CONTAMINATION <br /> After the leakage discovery, 18 soil samples were collected from beneath the fuel <br /> dispensing arra. Soil samples were collected at 3.5-foot depth below the diesel <br /> dispenser, at 5.0-foot depth below the unleaded gasoline dispenser, and from the <br /> excavated soil stockpiled on-site. The soil samples were analyzed by EPA Methods <br /> 8015D (diesel), 8015G (gasoline), and 8020 (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene). <br /> Only samples collected nearest to the dispensing point, adjacent to the east side of <br /> tank number 1, revealed contamination (see Figure 2).
