KYLE CHRISTIE
PAGE 5
current data from the area of monitoring well MW#2, ARCO would like to postpone the confirmation
drilling until such a time that the other site data indicate it to be warranted. PHSIEHD agreed that this
was a more cost effective approach. The San Joaqiun Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District has
approved the biofiilter for use in place of the Catalytic converter. A new blower has been purchased to
allow remediation to continue at the site-once the catalytic converter is moved to ARCO station #2093
in Tracy.
The environmental assessment conducted across Kettleman Lane at 514 Kettleman Larne has been
completed with the installation of two monitoring wells. The report has not yet been submitted but
preliminary results indicate no contamination in the soil or the groundwater. The report should be
submitted soon and will be available for public review.
Summary
The meeting allowed for continued communication between all parties and for
continued progress at the sites. The next meeting to discuss site progress was
scheduled tentatively for February 14, 1994 at 10:00 AM at the office of PHSIEHD.
If you disagree with this summary of the November 14, 1994 meeting or have any
questions, please contact me at (209) 468-3452.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
3
t
Diane M.
