Product
delivery line samples were collected at depths ranging from 4.0 to 4.5 feet below ground
surface (bgs). Dispenser samples were collected at depths ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 feet
bgs. Sample locations and sampling methodology were directed by Matt Parker, of the
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD). Soil samples were
collected using 3-inch diameter hand-auger sampling equipment. Sample tubes were
driven into soil contained in the 3-inch diameter auger, sealed with Teflon® tape and
plastic end caps, labeled, and placed on ice pending transport to the analytical laboratory.
Soil samples were transported, with chain-of-custody documentation, to Sequoia
Analytical (Sequoia), a state certified analytical laboratory, and analyzed for total
petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHG) using CAILUFr methodology; benzene,
toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTE3) using USEPA Method 8020, methyl
tert-butyl ether (MTBE) using USEPA Method 8264; and total lead using USEPA
Method 6010A.
IT Corporation
CP1C:1Archivel4roo1fi0B0\Repores160$OP901.DOC-951sg:1 01/27/00
