:A <br /> A S 5 0 C I A T E 5 I N C . <br /> Summary Report of <br /> tSubsurface Investigation <br /> Shawver Trucking <br /> 916 North Broadway <br /> Stockton, California <br /> ATC Project No. 54,2535 1.0001 <br /> i 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> ATC Associates Inc. has prepared this letter report, on behalf.of Shawver.Trucking to summarize <br /> findings of the subsurface investigation performed at the above referenced site (Figure 1). The <br /> purpose of the subsurface investigation was to evaluate the horizontal and vertical extent of <br /> 1 residually impacted soil and groundwater, if any. This work was performed at the request of San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Services, En_ viionmental Health Division (PHS/EHD). The <br /> j <br /> findings of the subsurface investigative study are summarized in the following paragraphs.- <br /> i <br /> 1.1 Site Location <br /> The site is located on the east side of North Broadway and north of Fremont Street, Stockton, <br /> R— California, as shown on Figure 1. The location is a residential and commercial area. The site is <br /> currently occupied by Shawver Trucking. <br /> 11.22 Background <br /> 1 . On January 22, 1999,-one 500-gallon gasoline underground storage tank (UST), one 500-gallon <br /> waste oil UST,. and all associated piping and dispensing equipment were removed and <br /> transported off-site, Laboratory analysis of soil samples collected from beneath'the former USTs <br /> i locations indicated the presence of detectable concentrations of total petroleum hydrocarbons and <br /> four of five LUFT metals. After the tanks were removed, the area of the former tanks was <br /> backfilled. <br /> f <br /> } 2.0 METHODS AND PROCEDURES <br /> }_ To evaluate the extent ofimpacted.soil and at the site, one soil boring was advanced in the <br /> vicinity..of the former waste.oil UST. ..All field activities were performed in accordance with <br /> Geological Technics Inc. Addendum to July S, 1999 Site Characterization Work Plan,'Shawver <br /> - Trucking, 916 N.
