On January 22, 1999, one 500-gallon gasoline underground storage tank (UST), one 500- <br /> gallon waste oil UST, and all associated piping and dispensing equipment were removed <br />{ <br /> and transported off-site. Laboratory analysis of soil samples collected from beneath the <br /> former USTs locations indicated the presence of detectable concentrations of total <br /> 0 <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons and four of five LUFT metals. j1After the tank was removed, the <br /> area.of the former tank was backfilled. <br /> j <br /> i <br /> WORK PLAN <br /> Ik <br /> Supervise the advancement of four soil borings to 65 feet bgs and one soil boring to <br /> 100 feet bgs, and complete three of the borings as groundwater monitoring wells, if <br /> field observations indicate it is required. At least four soil samples will be collected <br /> from each soil boring and one groundwater sample will!rbe collected from each well <br /> after well development. In addition, two grab groundwater samples will be collected <br /> from the 100-foot soil boring.
