ATC Associates SITE SAFETY PLAN
FACILITY BACKGROUND
J
! On January 22, 1999, one 500-gallon gasoline underground storage tank (UST), one 500-
gallon waste oil UST, and all associated piping and dispensing equipment were removed
{
and transported off-site. Laboratory analysis of soil samples collected from beneath the
former USTs locations indicated the presence of detectable concentrations of total
0
petroleum hydrocarbons and four of five LUFT metals. j1After the tank was removed, the
area.of the former tank was backfilled.
j
i
WORK PLAN
Ik
Supervise the advancement of four soil borings to 65 feet bgs and one soil boring to
100 feet bgs, and complete three of the borings as groundwater monitoring wells, if
field observations indicate it is required. At least four soil samples will be collected
from each soil boring and one groundwater sample will!rbe collected from each well
after well development. In addition, two grab groundwater samples will be collected
from the 100-foot soil boring. Samples will be analyzed for TPHg (EPA Method
8015 Modified), BTEX and MTBE (EPA Method 8020),TPHd (EPA Method 8015),
total oil and grease, LUFT metals (EPA Method 6010.
r
ii
• !i
I'
PAGE 4
f
