PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES U N.
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY 'c`
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION "
Karen Furst, M.D., M.P.H., Health Officer .. P..
S Ciro Ra\
304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor • Stockton, CA 95202
209/468-3420
NOTICE AND ORDER TO ABATE
August 28, 2001
Michael Starnes
3000-56 Kasson RD
Tracy, CA 95304
Complaint: substandard house at 1P52 S Juniper RD (River Club),Tracy, CA
The above complaint was recently registered with the Environmental Health Division
(EHD). County assessment records indicate that you are the owner of the above
referenced address. Confirmed conditions are violations of the Housing and Abatement
Code of San Joaquin County and/or the San Joaquin County Ordinance Code. These
conditions are to be abated within fifteen (15) days from the receipt of this letter. Failure
to implement immediate corrective action within the specified time period will result in
legal action by this agency. You will also be liable for enforcement costs specified
below.
RECOVERY OF ENFORCEMENT COSTS
Pursuant to Section 8-5400 County Ordinance Code, the County shall be reimbursed for
all time, services and materials needed to abate a violation of the Division. The hourly
rate used to compute time spent to investigate, document and abate a violation shall be
the actual costs. The enforcement agency is entitled to recover all costs associated with
the voluntary and involuntary abatement violations.
PERMITS
Where structural, electrical, plumbing or mechanical violations exist, you must first
obtain permits from the San Joaquin County Building Division, 1810 E. Hazelton Ave.,
Stockton, CA, prior to rehabilitation.
An on-site investigation has revealed the following: extensive remodeling without
permits. The work being done on this dwelling requires electrical, building and plumbing
permits and if any work is done on the heating system, that will require one also. If repair
permits are not obtained within 15 days of the receipt of this letter, the EHD will consider
this dwelling to be an abandoned, substandard house and subject to posting by this
department.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
