Additional Site Assessment Work Plan <br /> SPINGOLO TRUCKING COMPANY <br /> 1011 North Broadway Avenue, Stockton, California <br /> 1.. <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr.Frank Spingolo of Spingolo Trucking Company,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, <br /> Inc.(AGE)has prepared the enclosed Additional Site Assessment Work Plan for the property located <br /> L' at 11.01 North Broadway Avenue,Stockton,California.The scope of work includes the installation, <br /> development, and survey of three ground water monitoring wells at the above-referenced site. The <br /> location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1.plans of the site, including proposed monitoring well <br /> locations, are illustrated on Figures 2 through 4. <br /> � This work plan is prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (CVRWQCB)guidelines for the subsurface investigation of underground storage tank(UST)sites. <br /> r <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located in a topographically flat area of Stockton, California(Figure 1), approximately <br /> 400 feet south of the intersection of Broadway Avenue and Roosevelt Street. The site is further <br /> described as being located in the southwest quarter of Section 54,Township 2 North,Range 7 East, <br /> t., Mount Diablo Base and Meridian(Stockton East Quadrangle,7.5-Minute USGS Topographic Series, <br /> 1968,photo revised 1987).. <br /> 1 <br /> +� The site is presently utilized as a truck depot for freight transportation and consists.of several <br /> structures utilized for office space,truck maintenance and a storage yard. Two 6,000-gallon diesel <br /> USTs,one 2,000-gallon gasoline UST,and one 500-gallon waste oil UST-were formerly located on <br /> the northern portion of the.property. One 500-gallon gasoline UST was formerly located in the <br /> , <br /> southern portion.of the.property.Former tank locations are illustrated on Figures 2 through 4. <br /> 2.1. REGIONAL GEOLOGIC/HYDROGEOLOGIC SETTING <br /> The site is situated within the southern portion of the Great Valley Geomorphic Province of <br /> California, a large, elongate, northwest trending, asymmetric structural trough; the northern and <br /> southern portions of the Province have been designated the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys, <br /> respectively.The Province is bordered by the Coast Ranges to the west,the Klamath Mountains and <br /> f Cascade Range to the north;and the Sierra Nevada to the east. <br /> The Great Valley has been filled with sediments derived from both marine and continental sources. <br /> Thickness of the sedimentary fill ranges from thin veneers along the valley edges to more than. <br /> 20,000 feet in the south central portion of the valley. The sedimentary formations range in age from <br /> Jurassic to Recent,with the older deposits being primarily marine in origin and the younger deposits, <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br /> r <br />
