(San Joaquin County Ordinance Code Section 8-5601) ENFORCEMENT AND COST RECOVERY Pursuant to the San Joaquin County Ordinance Code Section 8-5601, the existence of an unsecured building(s) is a public nuisance. (Other methods of securements may be approved b the Environmental Health Department). The cost of such securement will be the responsibility of the legal owner. If not paid on the property tax of the affected property. Failure to secure the above mentioned building(s) within (10) days is punishable as a misdemeanor. APPEAL An appeal to seek relief from this order may be field with the Director of the Environmental Health Department. The appeal must be in writing, must contain reasons for seeking relief from this order and must be received by the Environmental Health Department prior to the compliance date of this order. The Director or designee shall make a decision on the merit of the appeal within two (2) working days and may sustain, modify, or overturn this order. The decision of the director is final.
