Job No. 074-013
INTRODUCTION
In accordance with your request, we have prepared this Workplan for consulting
services related to the existing waste-oil tank excavation and a soil stockpile at the
subject site. In preparing this proposal, we have visited the site, reviewed the
Groundwater Technology report of December 6, 1991 , and have discussed site
particulars with you, UPS's Richard Brown, and San Joaquin County Environmental
Health's (SJCEH's) Mike Infurna.1
i We understand that Groundwater Technology provided environmental consulting
services during the removal of a buried 550-gallon waste oil tank and a buried
l 10,000-gallon gasoline tank. The gasoline tank was removed, the area over-
excavated, and a new diesel tank was installed. The waste oil tank excavation is still
' open awaiting additional sampling and testing as required by SJCEH. The soil
removed from both excavations is stockpiled and covered within the southeast corner
of the site. This soil must be characterized prior to consideration of
disposal/remediation alternatives.
k ( ' Groundwater Technology; "Soil Excavation and Sampling, United Parcel Service f=acility, 1532
North Broadway, Stockton, California"; December 6, 1991.
3176 INDUSTRIAL BLVD. • WEST SACRAMENTO,CA 95691 • TELEPHONE 916/371-0434 • FAX 916/371-1809
