The proposed additional work includes additional excavation at the waste oil tank <br /> excavation. <br /> PROPOSED ADDITIONAL WORK <br /> TASK 1: SITE-SPECIFIC HEALTH & SAFETY PLAN <br /> An updated Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan has been prepared by Groundwater Technology as required <br /> by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) Standard"Hazardous Waste Operations and <br /> Emergency Response"guidelines (29 CFR 1910.120). The updated Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan has <br /> been prepared by a Groundwater Technology following a complete review of site conditions. The document <br /> will be reviewed and signed by all Groundwater Technology personnel and subcontractors performing work <br /> at the site. <br /> TASK 2: ADDITIONAL EXCAVATION <br /> In order to obtain approval for closure of the former tank pit, Groundwater Technology proposes to <br /> overexcavate the waste oil tank pit approximately 3 feet In each direction(Figure 1). The original dimensions <br /> of the excavation are 5.5'X11'X10' (Figure 1). This excavation will be performed utilizing a excavator with <br /> a 40-Hour OSHA trained operator. The excavation is estimated to take approximately one day. All site <br /> safety and security protocol will be in accordance with Cal-OSHA standards, as referenced in the site safety <br /> plan. <br /> 46Z <br /> Offices throughout the U.S.,Canada and Overseas <br />
