BROADWAY <br /> STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> Dear Mr. Infurna: <br /> This letter is presented by Groundwater Technology, Inc. to propose additional work at the above <br /> referenced site (Figure 1). The proposed additional work includes additional excavation at the gasoline <br /> tank excavation. <br /> PROPOSED ADDITIONAL WORK <br /> TASK 1: SITE-SPECIFIC HEALTH & SAFETY PLAN <br /> An updated Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan has been prepared by Groundwater Technology as <br /> required by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) Standard "Hazardous Waste <br /> Operations and Emergency Response" guidelines (29 CFR 1910.120). The updated Site-Specific <br /> Health and Safety Pian has been prepared by Groundwater Technology, following a complete review <br /> of site conditions and any existing Site-Specific Health and Safety Plans for the site with the project <br /> managerand an Industrial Hygienist. The document will be reviewed and signed by all Groundwater <br /> Technology personnel and subcontractors performing work at the site. <br /> TASK 2: ADDITIONAL EXCAVATION <br /> In order to obtain approval for installation of a new underground storage tank in the former tank pit <br /> and, Groundwater Technology proposes to overexcavate the gasoline tank pit to approximately <br /> 40'X14'X16' (Figure 1). The original dimensions of the excavation are noted on Figure 1 as well. This <br /> excavation will be performed utilizing a excavator with a 40-Hour OSHA trained operator. The <br /> excavation is estimated to take approximately one day.
