D
A S S Q C I A T E S I N C
A municipal well identified as California Water Service Company Well # 49-01 is located
approximately 1,400 feet south-southeast of the project site, across Brookside Road (Figure 3,
Well No. 2). According to the well log, the well is completed at approximately 504 feet bgs.
The screen interval in this well is located from 170 to 480 feet bgs. Because this well is located
in the inferred crossgradient direction from the site, it is ATC's judgment that it is unlikely that
the well has been impacted or is threatened by petroleum hydrocarbons from the site.
Approximately 3,000 southwest of the former UST location, a well of unknown use was
identified in the well log search in the vicinity of La Jolla Drive and.Marine Avenue intersection
(Figure 3, Well No. 3). This well was installed in 1945 and the log indicates the well was
completed at a depth of 55 feet bgs. Field reconnaissance performed by ATC reveled this is the
location of a residential neighborhood, however no evidence of a well was observed. Because
this well is located in the inferred upgradient direction from the site, it is ATC's judgment that it
is unlikely that the well has been impacted or is threatened by petroleum hydrocarbons from the
site.
ATC personnel conducted an on-site search for potential receptors on November 3, 2000. The
• Calivaras River was observed approximately 1,500 feet south of the project site. Because this
stream is located in the inferred cross gradient direction from the site, it is ATC's judgment that
it is unlikely that the stream has been impacted or is threatened by petroleum hydrocarbons from
the project site. No open ponds or other streams were located within 2,000 feet of the site.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
During a June 6, 2000 telephone conversation between Mr. Tom Lutterman of ATC and Mr. Jeff
Wong of PHS/EHD, ATC's Workplan for Supplemental Investigation dated September 12, 2000
was discussed. PHS/EHD and ATC both agreed that installing additional monitoring wells was
warranted at the site in lieu of the soil borings proposed in the workplan. Unlike the proposed
soil borings, the monitoring wells will provide repeatable groundwater sampling points. ATC
agreed to submit an addendum to the September 2000 workplan. The workplan addendum will
be submitted by December 8, 2000.
w:117292.00021reportsl3 qmr 2000.doc 3
