Cc: John Yoakum [EH]
Subject: FW: Unidentified Monitoring Well
This maybe an improperly abandoned MW. Who's well it is, is the question.
From: Jeanne Homsey rmailto•jeanne homsevCaatcassociates.com]
Sent: Wednesday, September 19, 2012 10:57 AM
To: Harlin Knoll [EH]
Subject: Unidentified Monitoring Well
Hi Harlin,
Some time ago,ATC worked on a UST project for Stockton Unified School District at the Stagg High School site located at
1621 Brookside Road. The site was closed in 2003 and monitoring wells were destroyed. Jeff Wong was the regulator.
I just received a call from the client and they found what appears to be a monitoring well on the site but I don't have any
record of it being associated with our investigation. Attached are two photos taken by the school. I also included a
general site map showing the location of the well. Our investigation was by Location 2 as shown on the map. I also
included a detailed site plan which shows our 5 monitoring wells. Jim Kundert was the geologist that did the well
destruction. All our project notes indicate there were only 5 wells and they were all permitted and destroyed by
Woodward Drilling.
The client wants us to destroy the well for them. I wanted to first check with SJCEHD to make sure the well isn't part of
another investigation. I looked on Geotracker but could not find anything. I was wondering if you could assist in
verifying this. If the well does not belong to anyone, what do I need to do to permit and destroy?
Thanks
7eanne Hornsey, PEI Branch ManagerlATC Associates Inc. 1 209 579-2221 Ext. 102 1 209 601-9731 cell
1117 Lone Palm Ave I Suite Is I Modesto,CA 95351 1 209 579-2221 tel 1 209 579-2225 fax lwww.atcassociates.com
PLEASE NOTE: This message, including any attachments, may include privileged, confidential and/or Inside information.
