Following are the steps we have taken to
locate it after the contractor stockpiled dirt in the area and then removed it after construction
was completed:
1 . The site sub-contractor was asked to look for the monitoring well as he
removed the dirt. He failed to locate it;
2. The school district sent six (6) men and equipment to the site to try and
locate it. They failed;
3. The landscaping contractor was asked to look for it as he was grading and
digging ditches for his sprinkling system. He did not succeed;
4. We had the district project inspector look for it since he was present
when the other four wells were capped and had knowledge of those
Innatin•,.c_ Pe fa;lorl fn Inept:, it;
5. We contacted Grupe Company, previous owners of the land, and had the
contamination removal project performed. They had no help for us;
6. We asked the firm of Levine-Fricke of Emeryville, who did the ground water
monitoring on this project, if they could help us locate the well. They declined;
7. We requested from R. W. Siegfried & Associates, who did a topographic
survey on the site, if they had any benchmark or any idea how we could
locate this well. They were not able to help us;
8. The job superintendent for F & H Construction, the general contractor for
the project, tried his best to help us.
