' Section 3.0
In Situ and Laboratory Testing
Two soil samples were collected and held for analysis in'the event the grab
groundwater sample indicated the presence on contamination. These'soil samples
were obtained at approximately 2 feet bgs from B-1 and B-2. The two;soil samples
were retained in 6-inch brass tubes, capped with Teflon tape and plastic caps,
+ properly labeled, placed in plastic ziplock bags, and stored in a cooler with ice.
The grab groundwater sample analytical results collected from PZ-1 indicated that
total coliform bacteria are present at low concentrations,;b0 coliform colonies per 100 4
milliliter_i Fecal coliform bacteria and chromium VT were non-detect and pH is
considered neutral. Based on these results, the discrete soil samples and stockpile
samples were not analyzed. A copy of the certified analytical laboratory report with
_ chain-of-custody record is included as Appendix B.
Additionally, two soil samples were collected from B-2 and analyzed for.corrosion
susceptibility to determine corrosive conditions (re Isistivity,pH,sulfate, and chloride)
present in the site soils. Samples were collected at'1.5 arid 25 feet bgs.' A grab sample
was also collected from the soil stockpile in the event that soil cuttings would require
offsite disposal. The results of the corrosion tests are presented in Appendix B.
E
I
E
CDM Camp Dmsses r McKee Inc. 3-2
012500128248-GEC-T4-RepoTBmpkSide Pump Station.doc ,
