Kalen Bjurston, PG&E was calling to report a PE 2546 HENRY 90 min release from pole mounted transforme. Vehicle had hit pole knockling off SC 978 transformer releasing unkown amount of mineral oil to ground. The oil impacted an area approximately 20 ft wide in an orchard. No wells or waterways impacted. Asked Kalen about clean-up. He said PSC was coming to do the clean-up. I asked if the lines had been de-energized yet and/or the pole replaced. He said he wasnt sure would find out. Asked when clean-up would take place and who was doing it. He wasnt sure what time but said PSC was responding. Called Kalen back after a few minutes. He said PSC would be there by 7:00am to begin the clean-up, they were coming from Hollister, CA. He said the lines had not been de-energized but would be by the time PSC got there. I said ok- I would be out there at 7:00am to meet PSC. He said ok. Started paperwork and prop 65. 04/19/2017 6:30am Went to River road-Kalen wasnt sure if it was in Ripon or Escalon just said PE 2546 HENRY 90 min it was east of Van Allen Road. Arrived at 21264 E. River Road. Pole was still SC 978 hanging from electrical lines and lines were on the ground. PG&E crew were not on site. Traffic control was on site. Psc pulled up right after me. Met with Paul Morales, PSC who said he was told the area would be ready for them to start clean-up. His crew will be there in about an hour stuck in traffic. Called Kalen back let him know PG&E not on site and we would not be able to start clean-up. I told him I was going to go back to the office and come back later when they were ready. He said ok, he would call me. As I was leaving PG& boom truck pulled up. 04/19/2017 Kalen called as I was driving, left voicemail. Said they would be ready at 10:30am. PE 2546 HENRY 30 min I called Kalen back asked him to confirm and call me back so I wasnt sitting SC 544 waiting for clean-up. Kalen called back at 10:15am, said it would be a little longer. I said ok,just let me know when they are ready. He called back at 12:15 sqaid they are ready for me. Lines de-energized, pole replaced, SFD back in power. I said ok I will head out there shortly. Told him PSC did not need to wait for me to begin clean-up, they could start. He said ok. 04/19/2017 Went to site, verified clean-up. They removed 4-55g drums and took them to the PE 54 HENRY iso min Oakdale yard for disposal. Left site. SC ng me to PE 0430Omin Celia Baralenajas( 925) 5194750.oil Sh Shesample. d she would call me back afterishe got the SC5HENRY Called 44 information. I said ok. 04/20/2017 Called Kalen about samples. He called me back and directed me to Celia Barajas PE 2546 HENRY 30 min (925) 519 4750. 1 spoke with Celia who said she would forward the PCB results to SC 544 me. They were non-detect.
