Benzene was.
detected in the ground water samples collected from wells.MW-2 and MW-5 at concentrations.of " ~
18µg11 and 5.8 µg/l, respectively. A map showing the,approximate extent of dissolved,benzene is
shown on Figure 5. Toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes were detected in the ground water sample ,j.:.
collected from wells MW-2,MW-5 and MW-6 at concentrations as high as 1.0'µg/1 toluene,9.8 µg/1,
-.ethylbenzene,'and 1.6 pg/1 xylenes.No other analytes were,detected at or above laboratory reporting
limits iri the groundwater samples collected from the remaining wells and, domestic water wells on-
„ and.off--site. ;
-Current and previous analytical results are summarized in Table 3.The laboratory report(MAI Work
Order Number 0406351), QA/QC report and chain-of-,custody form are included in.Appendix D.
4A: -SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based 6"n-.the data collected during this monitoring-period, AGE concludes:
Ground water elevations at the site ranged from 26.44 feet above MSL in well MW-12 to
27.91 feet above MSL in well MW-L.Groundwater levels were within the screened intervals
of all the monitoring wells on-site. The ground water at the site was inferred to be flowing
toward the north-northwest under' an avefage gradient of 0.006 ft/ft,which is cortsistent:with
;the'flow directiori.determined during previous monitoring events:
-TPH-gjPH-d and benzene were detected in the ground water samples collected from wells
VIW 5. and MW-6 at maximum concentrations of 130 µg/1.TPH g (Figure 4) 100
'µg/l TPH-d, and 18'µg/l benzene (Figure 5).. Toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes were
' detocted in the'.gr'ound water sarnpl'e.collected from wells MW 2, MW-5 and MW-6 at
concentrations as high as 1.0 l toluene 9.8 1:eth lbenzene and 1.6. 1 x lenes.
