PROCEDURES''
'Nine monitoring wells were purged and sampled on 17.June 2003. All field work procedures and
reporting requirements'are in accordance with guidelines issued by the Central Valley Regional
' Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for subsurface investigations of underground storage
tank (UST);sites and guidelines issued by San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
(EHD) for sampling of ground water monitoring wells:
2.1. WELL MONITORING AND PURGING
On 1.7 June 2003, monitoring wells MW 1 'through MW9 were purged and.sampled. Due.'to
construction
not onitored olrsampl d ..A Solinst water le 11 MW 10'could not be located and'subsequently was '
vel meter.was used.to measure'the depth to ground "
water to the nearest 0.01-foot in.the eight monitoring wells relative'to the tops of the well casings.
The ground, water elevations and gradient were determined from these data (Table 1): '.
After recording v'vaier level measurements, new disposable plastic bailers were used to purge each
I monitoring well of 'standing water. Between 6.25 ;and 9.25 gallons of water (a minimum of
3'casing-water volumes per well).were removed from each well. Groundwater temperature,pH.and
conductivity were measured,at regular intervals during purging using an Oakton water analyzer.
Field sheets and data are included in Appendix A. Purged water was stored on-site in labeled,
:55-gallon DPT-approved drums.
Advanced GeoEnvirodmental,-Inc.
